The initial step in creating a feature is to draw the cross section shape of the feature. This cross section can then be extruded or revolved to create a feature. Other features require a sketch to define sweep paths, cuts, ribs, and more. Sketches are used create synchronous and ordered features. The behavior of sketches is different in both modeling environments.
