Dimension types control how the dimension displays. You can set the dimension type before or after you place a dimension.

To set or change a dimension type, do the following:

• On the command bar, on the Dimension Type list, click one of the following options:

  Nominal
  Tolerance
  Class
  Limit
  Basic
  Reference
  Hole Callout
  Blank
