To save the changes to the original configuration file, click the Save the Remappings to the Original Configuration File option.

To save the changes to a new configuration file, click the Create a New Configuration File option, and then click the Copy To button. On the Save As dialog box, define a folder and file name for the new configuration file.

Configuration File

Allows you define the configuration file to which you want to save the remapped configuration.

Save the Remappings to the Original Configuration File

Specifies you want to save any changes you made back to the original configuration file. The default configuration file is seiges.ini, which is located in the Solid Edge/program folder. This file name is reserved for Solid Edge Draft and cannot be overwritten.

Create a New Configuration File

Specifies you want to save any changes you made to a new configuration file. This option applies the changes made to this translation.

Copy To

Displays the Save As dialog box to allow you to define a folder and file name for the new configuration file.

Output Folder

Allows you to specify an output folder for the documents you are importing. This is very helpful when you open foreign files with an assembly template. When Solid Edge encounters multiple bodies, the documents for each body are created and written to the specified folder with a .PAR extension.  If you open single body foreign documents with a part template, Solid Edge does not automatically save the .PAR file to this folder. However if the log file is enabled it is written to this folder.

Enable Logging

Produces a log file that contains warnings and information about the files involved in translation.

The log file is named in the standard convention of file_name.log. It is written to the same folder which Solid Edge reads or is currently writing the IGES file to. Solid Edge will automatically overwrite an existing log file is the same name is specified. You must have write permission for the target folder to be able to create a log file.

Output Folder is the Same as the Input Folder

Specifies that you want the output folder to be the same as the input folder for the documents you are importing. If you select this option and import an assembly, the assembly and the individual parts in the assembly are imported to the same folder.

Browse

Displays a dialog box that allows you to specify an existing or create a new output folder for the documents you are importing.  This option is not available if you the Output Folder is the Same as the Input Folder option is selected.

Preview

Lists the entities, entity names, and occurrences found in the IGES file being opened. This is used to confirm the template selection, or to make informed decisions on other parameter selections.
