Print an area on the sheet

To print a specific area of the geometry on a working sheet, or when printing from the 2D Model sheet or the Draw In View window, use the Print Area setting on the Print dialog box and specify two diagonal points.

  1. Change to the sheet or the Draw In View window that contains the design that you want to print.

  2. On the Application menu, choose Print.

  3. On the Print dialog box, select the name of the printer that will print the document.

  4. On the Print dialog box, set the Print Area option and click OK.

  5. Specify the design area to print--Click at one corner of the design that you want to print. If you want to print the drawing border, click outside the drawing border. Move the mouse diagonally to the opposite corner of the design so that everything that you want to print is included in the fence, then click again.

  6. The Print Area dialog box is displayed. The area that you selected on the 2D Model sheet is represented by the blue rectangle on the dialog box. The paper border is represented by the red rectangle. Note that these are the default color settings.

Click OK to print the drawing.
