Inactivates the selected parts. You inactivate parts in an assembly to improve performance. Inactivating parts unloads all the feature history and mathematical part definition and leaves only the graphical representation of the part loaded into memory.  This significantly reduces physical memory requirements, which can be useful when working with large assemblies.
