Back up a Solid Edge document

You can use the Save tab on the Options dialog box to automatically create and store backup copies of unsaved and modified documents while working in Solid Edge.

  1. On the Applications menu, click Solid Edge Options.

  2. On the Options dialog box, select the Save tab.

  3. On the Save tab, click the Automatically Preserve Documents By control.

  4. Choose to save all open documents at a specific time interval or choose to create backup copies of modified, unsaved documents in the current Solid Edge session.

Tip:

  • You can use the Backup Model Files and Backup Draft Files options to specify the type of files you want to back up.
