You can save Solid Edge assembly, part, and sheet metal documents in the Viewer Document format with the Save As and Save for Mobile Viewer commands. This creates a new light-weight representation of the model in a file with a .sev extension.
Choose Application menu→Save As or Application menu→Save As→Save for Tablet
Select the folder for the new document.
(Optional) In the File Name box, type a new name for the document.
From the Save As Type list, select Viewer Document (*.sev).
In the Save As dialog box, click Save.
Note:
Hidden parts or bodies are not saved to the viewer document.
