Construct a stitch weld

  1. Choose Features tab→Assembly Features group→Stitch Weld command.

  2. On the command bar, click the Stitch Weld Options button, then on the Stitch Weld Options dialog box, define the weld attributes you want.

  3. Select an edge for the weld bead path.

  4. Position the cursor at the end you want to be the start point and click.

  5. On the command bar, click the Accept (check mark) button.

  6. On the command bar, click the Finish button.

Tip:

  • You create a stitch weld feature by modifying an existing fillet or groove weld feature, or a protrusion feature on which you have added a weld label.

  • Stitch welds are displayed using the Weld Beads color.

  • Stitch weld features are not combined with the parts they touch.

  • You can use the commands on the shortcut menu to edit, delete, suppress, and rename stitch weld features.
