The Layers tab displays a graphic list of the layers on the drawing sheet or sketch, as well as a hierarchy of the layers in the drawing views on the drawing sheet. The following button commands are located on the Layers tab.

You also can find these commands on the shortcut menu for the top-level Layers node.
New Layer
Creates a new layer and adds it to the bottom of the list of layers displayed on the Layers page.
Show Layer
Displays elements on the selected layer.
Hide Layer
Hides elements on the selected layer.
Move Elements
Displays the Move Elements dialog box, so you can move selected elements to a different layer. This option is only available when there are valid 2D elements in a select set.
