Keyboard page (Customize dialog box)

Adds or removes customized keyboard shortcuts.

Environment to customize

Specifies the environment to which you want to add a custom keyboard shortcut. Select the environment first.

Choose commands from

Specifies the source of commands for which you want to add a keyboard shortcut. Select the source after you define the Environment to customize.

Theme

In the top-right list, specifies the active command ribbon name. All documents contain the Solid Edge Default as a starting theme.

Save

Saves any changes to the active keyboard theme.

Save As

Saves any changes to a new keyboard shortcut theme which you name.

Delete

Deletes the active keyboard shortcut theme.

Note:

You cannot delete the Solid Edge Default theme.

Command

Specifies which command for which you want to add a keyboard shortcut. Select the command after you select from Choose commands from.

Modifier

Specifies the modifier to be used with the keyboard shortcut.

Note:

Valid entries: Alt, Ctrl, Shift, Ctrl+Alt, Ctrl+Shift, Alt+Shift, Ctrl+Alt+Shift, or None

Key

Defines the new shortcut for the highlighted command.

Note:

If the Modifier is set to None, you can choose from a list of valid function keys.

Usage

Defines the environment(s) in which the keyboard shortcuts are available. You have two choices:

  • Use in specified environment only: use the shortcut only for the environment defined by your Environment to customize.

  • Use in all environments: use the shortcut consistently across all environments.

Reset

Restores all keyboard shortcuts to Solid Edge defaults.

Note:

Resetting an item specified as Use in specified environment only only resets the shortcuts to the default in the selected environment. Resetting an item specified as Use in all environments resets back to the default in all environments.
